Strangely, though, it’s still readable. The story had a too abrupt ending, and Maclean did not write the actual climax of the plot, just a hint of how it started and then it was over. If exploded on California’s fault califirnia they could trigger off the mightiest earthquake of them all – killing half its population and dumping the entire city of San Francisco into the sea.

His daughter pops up for a scene. This book is actually a thriller about a mad science person planting a bomb and setting up a big earthquake where Calif macldan fall into the ocean. There are a lot of characters, and once in a while some too-similar names got me tangled up, but the descriptions are clear and help differentiate each person.
