There seems to be no guiding intelligence — just thousands of different alien plants and animals, cooperating with each other as they destroy Terran species.
Tags separate by space: They’re the spearhead of an alien invasion. The potential for roleplaying complex characters is enormous.
Book 1 follows the initial invasion, nobody takes it seriously thinking its a hoax or overblown until the end where the main character has to use the training he gave himself to kill a worm. It’s deadly but beautiful and seductive at the same time. It was hallowed ground It was. The last book started to talk about captured humans being changed and the idea that every Chtorr organism is connected. That’s really what I remember most about the books, the fact that they’re written in the first person and that Jim fucks around but can’t even explain why.
Part of the big satisfaction is putting things yurps.

This is enough to make most people just a little insane — some more than others. Technology in the books is advanced in some againxt and others not. They are not a united front and they do prey on each other.
Why isn’t this series made into a tv series or movie?
Character and campaign ideas. My worry is that I will die of old age before I get to see the end of the story I have enjoyed so much. It seems being part of the Chtorran ecosystem isn’t all bad.
Besides the worms, the Chtorran ecology is a multifaceted, colorful and almost universally dangerous creation. I am not a fan of the GURPS system but I still own fifty or so of their sourcebooks because they are so easy to use in other systems and many times are more informative then other gaming books on the same topic.

Jim also mutates further but doesn’t become near as animalistic from what I’ve heard in the teaser chapters as the zombie herds.
